Well...it's that time of the year again. Which also means loads of OT at work and loads of money on my paycheck.  Unfortunately, that paycheck comes in after Christmas. Oh well. :)

I'm hoping to get a gathering for new years eve...but there is still time to figure that out. :)

Well, I've had this little phone (an 8gb iPhone) now for a few weeks. Have to say, I like it alot. Granted, that mainly because it's hell of alot better than the pos that was my old cell phone. ;)

What I like:
The touch interface. - Makes text messaging easier and doing email. :)

2 MP camera. Some may complain about it being 2 MP. But for a camera on a phone...it works for me. Plus the pics I've taken with it isn't bad. :) If I need a better quality picture...I'll use my 7.1 MP digital camera.

Web Surfing and email (via my gmail account) - I like having the option of being able to surf and check my email via my iPhone. Sometimes, you need quick info via the web and a computer terminal isn't nearby. Good thing for the iPhone. :)

It's a phone. ;) I can make calls with the thing. And with a touch on my contacts...it's real easy. :)

What I don't like:
Not much but I'm not a fan on having YouTube on the iPhone. Reason...I don't use it and I don't see the need of it being there. (shrugs)

The headphone jack. I need an adapter so my regular headphone can fit the jack. (blah)

I saw Shrek 3 with a certain brunette yesterday. I enjoyed it. It was certainly worth rushing to the movie theater to meet up with said brunette, who's idea it was to see Shrek in the first place.

On other fronts:
The 473 exam is on the 10th. Well...here's hoping for the best.
It took nearly 4 days to update my iTunes music library with the DRM free tracks. The last 50 tracks (of a total of 301) was a real pain to get.
I'm getting rather good at the horse racing game at Jillians. I think I can hold my own against anyone in that game.
I scored a victory against Scott in a driving game. (Woo me. :) ) Don't worry Scott...you'll get your rematch.
I still suck at shooting a basketball. No amount of practice will improve that. (Clank!)
StarCraft 2...sign me up. ;)
iPhone on the horizon....when is my cell contract up?

Back to work tomorrow...that's all for now.

Well...lets see...Movies galore this summer. So much so that I think I'll be spending alot of time at the theater than I ever had in my life to this point. Considering it usually takes alot to get me to go to a movie theater...that's something.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (book 7) is slated July 21st. I'm hopeful for certain events that I shall not speak of just as yet. Too many things can happen in that book...and I'm getting antsy. The Order of the Phoenix movie should keep me occupied til the book comes out.

Heroes (as of this post) has 2 more episodes for season 1. Things are really going now. I wonder if there will be a round 3 between Sylar and Peter. Should be cool. "How do you stop an exploding man?" To quote a friend of mine....just get the Haitian guy to negate the powers...and shoot 'em. ;) (also...I can't believe I forgot about Molly Walker.)

Another shot at the 473 exam via work. Here's to hoping I can score better that the lowly 75.6 and 74.9 scores I had earlier.

Recently...I finished listening to the audiobooks versions of "Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West" and its sequel "Son of a Witch" by Gregory Maguire. I have to say I totally enjoyed them. If there is one thing that really gets me...his endings to those book leaves you wanting to know more. Not that a bad thing...it's kinda like life in a way.

Another recent addition to my iPod is the Evil Dead: Original Broadway Cast Album. Heck I didn't know someone did a broadway show based on Evil Dead. Took me by surprise. As for the album...it's campy and silly....I loved it. ;D

Currently in Space Week on Science Channel. I wonder if we'll make it to Mars during my lifetime. Only time will tell.

While on one of my YouTube adventures...I found a few videos related to one of my favorite TV shows when I was growing up, "You Can't Do That On Television". Ahhh...the memories. Green slime...opposite sketches...locker jokes. When I mention this show to friends...most ask if I had a crush or thing for Alanis Morissette. (She appeared in 5 episodes during the '86 season, per ycdtotv.com) Even though I found her cute at the time, I remember having a major crush on Marjorie Silcoff. (8 episodes from '84-'85 seasons, check her out on Project 131 on link below. ;) )

I also remember, back in the day, about wanting to be part of the show. I'd dream about meeting Christine "Moose" McGlade, Lisa "Motormouth" Ruddy, Alasdair Gillis, and the rest of the cast. Now I knew it would never happen in real life...seeing the show was produced out of Canada and I was growing up in a military family that moved all over the place. That didn't stop me from thinking about it.

It was interesting finding out more about this old show. There was word of putting it on DVD...but as of this moment that's on hold...as far as I know. The fact that there wasn't a '88 season. I kinda wished I knew more of Slimecon...but the videos on YouTube has certainly helped. I'm hopeful that this show will find its way to DVD. I'd line up for it. I'd even say "I Don't Know" and get green slimed for it. :)

I hope everyone had a good and safe Easter. I curled up and relaxed most of the day. Save watching the Suns and DBacks play. Suns Win....DBacks Win...Life's good.

On the gaming front...I'm back playing C&C Red Alert 2 and Yuri's Revenge. Just so I'll be back in the mood when I eventually get C&C 3. But I'm trying to make Mass Effect for the XBox 360 my next game purchase. Let's see how long I hold out.

Had my luck with the XBox 360 turned sour? Back in Nov., my XBox 360 finally died and gave me the dreaded ring of red lights. After a few months of console gaming withdrawal, I got a replacement. That console? It last all of 2 weeks. So...I'm on XBox #3 at the moment. Now why am I a bit irked? Microsoft announced the XBox 360 elite. It's suppose to hit the stores late Apr. 120 GB hd and a HDMI port...options I'd like on my 360. Oh well...guess I'll have to wait til this 360 goes...which by my estimation should be sometime between tomorrow and next March. ;)

A Bit of Coded fun (For those in the know)
Portugal seems awfully lonely these days. (Just a observation) Brazil has a new "work" husband. (Seeing as Car*** is now on another shift...or so it seems) Monaco is classy as ever. England is teaching COA rules. US won't let the little guys out early....and lastly...Israel is worried over Lebanon's condition.

What's on Larry's Tivo
Well...I still have the most recent episode of Heroes, "Parasite". I "LOVE" that show. I'm starting to think it would be kinda neat to have Peter's abilities.

Mythbusters: Was there any doubt that I'd still record this show?

Poker After Dark: 2 reason that I watch...interesting texas holdem poker and Shana Hiatt.

That's all for now.

Yep...I'm still amongst the living. Still chuggin' along in life. My current "obsession"? Sifting through videos on YouTube. You'd be surprised the various stuff you can find there.

Baseball season just started...Go DBacks. :) "Play Ball".

No OT for a while at work....Woo. :) Scott...if you're reading this...I'll still blame you if and when OT hits again. :)

I'm really starting of thinking of joining a bowling league this summer. Lorraine asked if I'd consider it. I'm no longer getting too sore after bowling...and I'm getting to the point where I don't think I'll embarrass myself too much. So it's on the mind. We shall see.

Back on work...I'm considering taking the 932 exam for the Electronics Technicians position. I'll most likely sign up for the test just to see if I can pass the darn thing. If by some miracle I get some sort of interview via my test score...I'll consider that a win.

There's plenty of stuff that has happened since the last time I posted...so there is something to post about in the coming days. ;)

Side note to Tim:
Will this do for now? ;)
